Through brand strategy, voice and messaging, we created a verbal identity that evokes the beauty of the bespoke.

Strategy
Rather than focus on one-of-a-kind pieces, we positioned Starling as a brand for OOAK people seeking jewelry that reflects who they are.

Starling shows fine jewelry in bold hues, and helps their audience explore unconventional everyday styling. They share their material forays and fascinations on social media in monthly gem drops and styling videos. Alongside Starling, jewelry lovers evolve their tastes, discover new obsessions and reconsider the familiar.

Voice + Messaging
By bringing out the beauty of uniqueness, Starling creates jewelry that's made to be Ever Yours.

Starling seeks out the unusual, uncommon and perfectly imperfect to represent the loves, commitments and major moments of your story—the twinkly points on the timeline—in lovingly unexpected ways.


Instead of a traditional tagline, we create several brand phrases that could be used almost like stamps, functioning as a design element with typography and layouts created by Forner.


We also crafted brand headlines that spoke to the exquisiteness of Starling jewelry, natural materials and personal meanings.




We helped them express their ethos in elevated, charming phrasing with a touch of the unexpected.
